Juntos Members Shop for Christmas Presents for 117 Children and Parents

On December 6, 2025, and for the 20th year in Sarasota, the Juntos SRQ members and their families, along with the assistance of the University Park Women's Club, assembled at WalMart in full holiday fashion and spirit for two and a half hours to shop for 117 needy children and their single parents or guardian. 

For these families, there would be no presents under the Christmas tree, if there even is a tree, without the Juntos SRQ.  Many of the presents requested are also more necessities of life, underwear, socks, shoes, and basic clothing rather wants such as toys.  

These gifts were wrapped by members, then brought to the Women's Resource Center in Sarasota, where a Christmas party with a hot meal, cake, games, and most importantly the Grinch and Santa Claus came to distribute the gifts to the children.  Aside from helping the needy, it is always a joyous occasion with members own children and grandchildren helping shop for others and helping imbed the need of helping others in their minds at an early age.
